A man was killed in an officer involved shooting Thursday morning in Hillsboro.
Officers responded to a report of an armed man in a condo on Northeast Edgeway Drive near Sumner Falls Street.
When they arrived, the suspect fired multiple rounds from a rifle and a pistol. Other condos and vehicles were hit by the bullets.
Hillsboro Police say when the man came out of the condo there was an officer involved shooting and the man was hit.
The suspect was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead. He has been identified as 69-year-old Stanley Hayes, of Hillsboro.
No officers, or residents nearby, were injured.
The Washington County Major Crimes Team is investigating.
