28 Pounds Of Pots Seized During Traffic Stop

Linn County Sheriff Jim Yon reports his deputies seized 28 pounds of marijuana discovered during a traffic stop.

On October 27, deputies stopped a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee that had defective lighting on Pacific Boulevard near the Motel 6 in Albany.

During the traffic stop, deputies identified the driver as 31-year-old Billy St. Germain, from California. St. Germain did not have a valid drivers license or insurance on the vehicle. St. Germain was taken into custody for an outstanding felony warrant for Fail to Appear from Jackson County, Oregon.

The Jeep was towed.

Upon inventorying the vehicle to document any valuables within, the deputies found approximately 28 pounds of marijuana in 29 individual bags.

The marijuana was seized and Germain was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and transported to the Linn County jail.
