Tuesday around 9:30 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash along NW Jackson School Road near the City of North Plains.
Deputies found a single occupant inside a yellow 2005 Chevy Corvette that had crashed through a fence and rolled over in a field in the 12000 block of NW Jackson School Road, just north of NW West Union Road.
The driver, a 35-year-old man from North Plains, died at the scene.
Members of the Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team (CART) assisted in investigating the crash and it appears speed may have been a factor.
