Fatal Highway 214 Crash

The driver of a car lost control and crashed with a motorcycle on Highway 214 south of Silverton killing the driver of the motorcycle.

Oregon State Police say a Toyota Corolla, operated by 82-year-old Doyle Lewis, of Salem, was traveling northbound on Hwy 214 when he lost control of his vehicle and it crossed into the southbound lane and collided with a Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by 69-year-old Mark Clark, of Salem.

Clark was transported by Life Flight to Salem Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

A passenger on the motorcycle, 29-year-old Brandi Wilcut, of Salem, was transported by ground to Silverton Hospital with serious injuries.

Lewis was not injured in the crash.
