4 Alarm Portland Fire Damages Businesses And Homes

A grass fire spread fast in Northeast Portland Monday afternoon. It was first reported near Northeast 85th and Siskiyou. The flames raced across a field and started fires in businesses and town homes.

Lumberyard, and indoor bike park, suffered heavy damage. Vehicles in the parking lot were destroyed.

Police helped to evacuate businesses and homes.

The Portland Fire Bureau called four alarms to get enough equipment and personnel on the scene to stop the fire.

The fire led to a Pacific Power outage affecting 10,000 customers.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
