Large Area Evacuated Due To Disturbance In Portland Chase Bank

Police closed a six block area, because of a threat made by a woman who entered the Chase Bank in downtown Portland.

A woman entered the bank near Southwest 6th and Yamhill, caused a disturbance and made a threat that caused police to respond with SERT, negotiators and the Metro Explosives Disposal Unit.

The closure effected MAX trains and the bus mall.

When SERT arrived the officers entered the bank and took the woman into custody.

No device was found and no one was hurt.
