Suspect Identified In Parkrose High Gun Threat

An 18-year-old student is under arrest for bringing a shotgun to Parkrose High School on Friday.

The suspect is identified by police as Angel Granados Dias.

He's charghed with: Possession of Firearm in a Public Building, Attempting to Discharge a Firearm at a School, Reckless Endangerment, and Possession of a Loaded Firearm in a Public Place (city ordinance).

Just before Noon on Friday a suspect was seen on the Parkrose High School campus carrying a gun.

Student's say the suspect entered at least one classroom and then left.

The school's football coach Keanon Lowe tackled the suspect and held him until police arrived.

Police have not said whether any shots were fired.

The Portland Police Bureau's Gun Violence Reduction Task Force is working with the bureau's Behavioral Health Unit to investigate the case.

No one was injured.

Granados Dias will make his first court appearance on Monday.
