Suspect Arrested In Amy Low Murder

A suspect is under arrest in connection with a Beaverton murder.

Portland Police Officers helped Beaverton Police detectives find 39-year-old Norbeto Nestor Muniz.

Muniz was located near SW 4th and SW Ankeny in downtown Portland. Muniz had an outstanding parole violation warrant and was wanted for the murder of Low.

On May 7th, a Washington County Grand Jury heard testimony regarding the murder of 29-year-old Amy Low. The Grand Jury indicted Muniz for Murder and Abuse of a Corpse in the First Degree.

Low’s body was located at 12120 SW Allen Blvd on November 17, 2018 after Beaverton officers were called to the residence regarding a suspicious circumstance. Low’s body had been burned, after her death, which delayed positively identifying her until January 23, 2019.

Muniz, Amy Low and a witness were all living together at the SW Allen Blvd residence during the time of her murder. Numerous items, which contained DNA evidence, were collected from the residence and later analyzed at the Oregon State Crime Lab.

Muniz was taken to Washington County Jail where he is being held without bail.
