Motorists need to plan ahead and expect delays this weekend as two ramps at the interchange where Interstate 5 and Interstate 84 meet will see closures.
The work will include testing to ensure bridge joints are operating properly, a regular check after bridge joint installation.
Here is the closure schedule.
- The ramp from westbound I-84 to northbound I-5 will close at 10 p.m. Friday night, April 26, and is expected to re-open Saturday evening or Sunday morning, April 27 or 28. During the same closure times, the on-ramps from Northeast 33rd Avenue and Northeast Sandy Boulevard westbound I-84 WB will be closed.
- The ramp from southbound I-5 to eastbound I-84 will be closed starting Saturday evening or Sunday morning, April 27 or 28. This ramp will re-open by 5 a.m. Monday, April 29. It is possible that the work may be completed early. If it is, we will open the ramp once the work is complete.
