Suspect Hits Vancouver Police Car And Runs

Vancouver Police are trying to locate a driver and vehicle involved in a hit and run that damaged a patrol car.

Thursday morning, Vancouver Police Officers contacted an adult male subject who was sitting in the driver's seat of a parked Kia SUV. This incident occurred in an apartment complex located at 3000 block of NE 109th Ave in Vancouver.

During the contact, the unidentified male subject fled the scene in his SUV, striking and damaging a stopped police vehicle in the process. The suspect was last seen leaving the area at a high rate.

The suspect vehicle is a 2018 Kia SUV, silver in color, possibly the "Sportage" model. California License plate number "7ZDS854." The vehicle is a rental from a local car rental company. There should be at least some minor collision damage to the vehicle's front driver's side corner.

Suspect was an adult Asian or Pacific-Islander male in his mid to late twenties. Suspect had a pony tail and several tattoos on both arms.

Vancouver Police investigators are requesting the public to be on the lookout for the described suspect vehicle. If seen, please call "911" as soon as possible.
