Suspect Arrested For Burning Goldschmidt Portrait

Portland Police have arrested the man who's accused of stealing a portrait of former Portland Mayor Neil Goldschmidt.

Police had been looking for the portrait since it was stolen about a week ago.

Friday night, police found a video online that showed the suspect burning the portrait.

Police found the suspect's location on North Berkley Avenue and took 50-year-old Jeffrey Black into custody for Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, Theft in the Third Degree, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
