Passenger killed in crash on Highway 211

One person died in a crash Friday on Highway 211 near Eagle Creek.

Oregon State Police say a 2012 Subaru Legacy, driven by 75-year-old Maurice Deets, of Colton, was traveling northbound on Hwy 211 when for unknown reasons the Subaru crossed over the center line and into the southbound lane and struck a 1998 Dodge 2500, operated by 48-year-old Beverly Parker, of Woodburn.

The front passenger of the Subaru, 49-year-old Matthew Deets, Colton, died in the crash.

Maurice Deets was air lifted to a trauma hospital in Portland for critical injuries.

Parker sustained minor injuries and declined transport to a hospital.

Hwy 211 was closed for approximately five and a half hours.

OSP was assisted by the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Molalla Police Department, Molalla Fire Department, AMR, Life Flight, and ODOT.
