On February 20, 2019, three adult males and one adult female were arrested after they burglarized a home in south Beaverton.
At 1:47 p.m. on the 20th, Beaverton Police officers responded to SW Shearwater Loop regarding a burglary in progress. A youth, who was home alone, called 911 to report more than one person was inside their home. After a short time inside the residence, the suspects realized a person was home and left. The youth was not injured and was able to provide a description of one suspect.
Officers arrived within two minutes and saw one suspect running from behind the residence. Officers were able to locate all four suspects in a vehicle as they tried to leave the area. 38-Year-old Claudia Agudelo and 30-year-old Luis Sarmiento-Vargas were charged with Conspiracy to Commit Burglary in the First Degree. Agudelo’s and Sarmiento-Vargas’ last known residence was in Renton, Washington. 33-Year-old Francisco Ugarte-Garcia and 24-year-old Cristian Aranza-Rudas were charged with Burglary in the First Degree, Possession of Burglary Tools and Criminal Mischief in the First Degree. Ugarte-Garcia’s and Aranza-Rudas’ last known residence was in Staten Island, New York.
All four suspects were taken to Washington County Jail and are being held on 100,000 dollar bails. The suspects were traveling in a silver Hyundai Tucson with California license plates.
