Wanted Suspect Arrested After Police Chase

A man wanted on several felony crimes is in custody after a high speed police chase in a stolen truck ended in a crash in Camas Friday morning.

Officers spotted the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Nathanael Samuel, from Sandy, Oregon, driving a stolen truck northbound on I-205 near Highway 213. Officers had been searching for Samuel 

Oregon City officers, along with deputies from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, attempted to stop the Samuel in the stolen truck.  When the attempt was made, Samuel sped off at a high rate of speed.

The high speed chase crossed the Glenn L. Jackson Memorial Bridge into Washington. 

After successful attempts by the use of spike strips to flatten the truck's tires, he crashed the truck and then fled on foot into the Camas Cemetery where he was arrested by a Clackamas County deputy.

No one was injured in the crash.

Samuel is facing charges of  Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, two counts of Attempt to Elude a Police Officer on Foot, two counts of Attempt to Elude a Police Officer Vehicle, Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangering, Assault III, and Probation Violation Detainer for PCS Meth. 

Samuel is the suspect in numerous felonious crimes in Clackamas County.
