Driving between Sherwood, Tualatin and Tigard on Wednesday had massive delays, because of power lines that fell on Highway 99W between Cipole Road and 124th Avenue on Wednesday.
Portland General Electric crews said it would take most of the day to repair two utility poles, a transformer and other equipment.
Traffic was detoured onto Cipole Road, Tualatin-Sherwood Road and 124th Avenue, but the delay was long.
Portland General Electric is investigating what caused the poles to come down. They think a guide wire cable might have failed.
