The DoubleTree Hotel in Portland's Lloyd District has fired two employees who told a black hotel guest to leave the lobby.
Jermaine Massey's videos of the incident went viral. Massey was in Portland for a concert and was sitting in the hotel's lobby making a phone call when a security guard accused him of loitering.
Massey, who had booked a room at the hotel, was asked for his room number. He couldn't immediately remember it, but had his room key.
The guard and the hotel's manager called police.
Officers escorted Massey to his room to collect his things and he left for another hotel.
In a Twitter post, the DoubleTree Hotel acknowledge firing the employees and apologized to Massey.
Massey has hired an attorney to review the matter.
