Car Catches Fire After Crash; Passenger Injured

A passenger of a car was seriously injured and Police are searching for the driver, after the car crashed and caught fire in NE Portland Thursday morning.

Fire crews and police responded to the crash on NE 162nd and NE Sandy Boulevard.

Police say the driver was speeding, when the car lost control and crashed.

The passenger, a woman, was ejected from the car. The driver fled the scene. 

The passenger was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive. 

Police have not found the driver.
