Over the past several days, Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies have taken multiple reports of animal abuse in and around the King Village Mobile Home Park at 12450 SW Fischer Road near Tigard and King City.
On Saturday, November 17, 2018, deputies were called to the mobile home park after a woman found her cat with a string wrapped tightly around its neck in what appeared to be an intentional act. The cat was covered in mud, its eye was damaged, and it may have been physically abused. That cat owner told deputies that several weeks ago, another cat in the area was found by its owner with what looked like intentional ink pen markings on its fur.
On Sunday, November 18, 2018, deputies were called back to the area after a cat was found dead in a park next to the mobile home park. On Monday, November 19, 2018, deputies responded to the area a third time when a man found a cat dead near the intersection of SW Fischer Road and SW 123rd Avenue. Although it is possible that cat was hit by a car, deputies are concerned it may be linked to the other incidents.
Necropsy results are pending on both cats that were found dead. Detectives are investigating the case and anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division at (503) 846-2500.
