A fatal crash involving a pedestrian shut down I-5 south near Woodburn Wednesday morning.
Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to the report of a pedestrian who had hit by a vehicle on Interstate 5 south near milepost 274, about three miles north of Woodburn.
The pedestrian is identified as 50-year-old Brian Caine, of Bellevue, Washington.
Police say 911 had received reports of a person standing on the freeway. Before troopers could arrive Caine was hit by several vehicles and killed.
