Oregon Governor Kate Brown defeated Republican Knute Buehler to win a four year term in the Governor's office.

Oregonians approved only one statewide ballot measure which allows public bonds to be used for affordable housing. All of the other measures failed.

In Washington State, voters approved new regulations for firearms and police use of deadly force. They defeated the carbon fee and the measure to ban soda and grocery taxes is too close to call until more votes are tallied.

In the race for Portland City Council, Jo Ann Hardesty defeated Loretta Smith.

All of Oregon's U.S. Representatives retained their seats.

In Washington's 3rd Congressional District the race between Republican Incumbent Jamie Herrera-Buetler and Democrat Carolyn Long remains too closed to call.
