A man suspected of killing his wife and dumping her body in a field near St. Paul was found dead Wednesday night.
Deputies say they found the body of Lemarr Carver Wednesday night inside his home in Hillsboro.
Lt. Chris Baldridge with the Marion County Sheriff's Office says both Washington County and Marion County deputies served a search warrant at the home in connection with the death of 47-year-old Tricia Carver, whose body was found on Monday in a field near Vachter Road NE and River Road NE.
When deputies entered Lemarr's home on Southeast Patricia Lane in Hillsboro, they found him deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Deputies say the husband and wife were estranged, and Tricia lived in Albany.
They have not said what led them to suspect Lemarr or how Tricia was killed.
