I-205 Construction To Cause Delays

road construction

Northbound Interstate 205 may see extensive backups the night of Thursday, Nov. 1 as rolling slowdowns allow crews to install a sign bridge.

The rolling slowdowns will begin no earlier than 12:01 a.m. Friday Nov. 2 beginning at 10th Street in West Linn with all northbound ramps between West Linn and Glisan Street closing during the rolling slowdowns. The times of the ramp closures will vary depending when the rolling slowdown has passed or if multiple rolling slowdowns are needed.

I-205 northbound off-ramps will be open, except Sandy Boulevard which will be closed between 9 p.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. Friday.

In addition, the westbound and eastbound Interstate 84 on-ramps to northbound I-205 will close from 10 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday. Users should follow the signed detours using NE 102nd and NE 122nd Avenues to Sandy Boulevard.

The slowdowns will give crews 20-minute work windows to raise and install a sign bridge between the Northeast Sandy Boulevard off-ramp and the Killingsworth Street off-ramp.

The rolling slowdowns are scheduled for completion by 5 a.m. but lanes and ramps will re-open when the closures is no longer needed.
