Linn County Sheriff Jim Yon reports his deputies received information of a large male cougar sighting in the residential area of Lacomb, east of Lebanon.
The cougar was seen walking on Shingle Mill Road near Snow Peak Road by a private timber company employee early Tuesday morning.
It didnât appear the cougar was frightened by humans and it was seen in an area where school children wait for buses.
Yon cautions those in this area to be aware of their surroundings. Report any future sightings near homes, businesses or places where pedestrians would be, by calling the Linn County Sheriffâs Office at (541) 967-3911.
