Public's Help Needed In Solving Portland Murder

Portland Police and Crime Stoppers are offering a reward in solving the homicide of a Milwaukie man who was found dead in a burned out car.

On Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at around 1:00 a.m., Portland Fire and Rescue responded to the report of a vehicle fire in the 6200 block of North Marine Drive. 

As firefighters battled the car fire, they located what was believed to be a deceased person inside the vehicle, which was a white 2003 Chevrolet Impala. 

Portland Police Homicide detectives responded to the scene to conduct a death investigation. The Oregon State Medical Examiner identified the deceased as 28-year-old Andrew Patrick Hathaway and determined that he died of homicidal violence. 

There is no suspect information in this case.
