Murder Of Michael Olson Remains Unsolved

The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve a homicide that occurred in the Woodstock Neighborhood of Southeast Portland. 

On Tuesday September 30, 2014, at 11:08 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 6100 block of Southeast 52nd Avenue. 

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the victim, 30-year-old Michael William Olson, deceased after suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Olson resided in the Woodstock Neighborhood. 

Homicide investigators believe Olson was killed in the course of a robbery. 

An eyewitness described the suspect as possibly being a light-skinned African American or Hispanic male. 

Crime Stoppers of Oregon offers cash rewards of up to $2,500 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in any unsolved felony crime and tipsters can remain anonymous.
