The Broadway Bridge will be closed to traffic (except Portland Streetcar and river users) from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 30, weather permitting, during maintenance repairs to the bridge deck.
Crews need one more day to complete repairs that began earlier this month. In the event of wet weather, the work will be rescheduled.
The bridge will be closed to all modes of transportation, except for the Portland Streetcar and river traffic requiring a drawbridge opening.
Bridge users can use the Steel Bridge (all modes) or the Fremont Bridge (motor vehicles only) when the Broadway Bridge is closed. TriMet's 17-Broadway/Holgate bus route will detour to the Steel Bridge.
