Three Killed In Highway 26 Crash

Three people were killed in a crash Thursday night on Highway 26 at Highway 47.

Oregon State Police say the driver of a 2014 Kia Cadenza was traveling eastbound on Highway 26 when for an unknown reason it crossed the center line and collided head-on into a red 2010 Lexus HS 250, which was traveling westbound.

The driver and only occupant in the Kia was killed.

The Lexus had four occupants. The driver and left  rear passenger sustained fatal injuries. The front passenger and the right rear passenger were transported by air ambulance to a Portland area hospital.

It is determined that speed and lane occupancy were contributing factors.

The Oregon State Police was assisted by Washington County Sheriff's Office,  Banks Fire Department, Washington County Medical Examiner, and Oregon Department of Transportation.
