Demonstrators protesting outside of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement building in Southwest Portland are being told by the City of Portland to remove their camp.

Mayor Ted Wheeler says he supports their demonstration, but they can no longer camp outside of the ICE building, because their camp isn’t on Federal property.

The City of Portland posted notices Monday night.

Wheeler says the demonstrators won’t be stopped from protesting they just need to remove their camp.

Wheeler wouldn’t say what will happen if they refuse to leave.
