The Portland Aerial Tram will reopen on Monday, July 9, three weeks ahead of schedule. Members of the repair team worked 20 hours a day in two shifts, employed innovative repair techniques and also enjoyed the benefit of excellent weather. The Tram will resume normal operations on Monday, July 9, at 5:30 a.m. Tram Shuttles will continue to run at a reduced frequency through Wednesday, July 11 and the GoByBike bicycle valet will continue operations at its three temporary locations (Whitaker, Schnitzer and Student Center) through Monday, July 16.
