Four people were killed and seven others were injured in a crash on Highway 30 near Clatskanie on Friday.
Oregon State Police say a minivan and a truck carrying a horse trailer collided about 5 miles from the Columbia/Clatsop County line, 14 miles west of Clatskanie.
Police say four people died and three others were hurt in the minivan, after the minivan tried to turn left onto Clifton Road into the path of an oncoming truck carrying an empty horse trailer.
Four occupants of the minivan died at the scene, three others were taken by Life Flight to Portland hospitals and one occupant was taken to a local hospital.
The three occupants of the truck were taken to local hospitals.
Police say names will not be released until Saturday at the earliest.
Highway 30 was shut down in the area for several hours.
