A man died in a two-car crash on Highway 30 near Astoria on Sunday.
Police say 44-year-old Lori Courtwright was driving east when for an unknown reason, crossed the double yellow centerline into the path of a westbound car driven by 54-year-old Douglas Morgan.
The two vehicles crashed nearly head-on.
Morgan died at the scene and Courtwright was taken to an air ambulance in Astoria then flown to a Portland area hospital with serious injuries.
Highway 30 was closed for around 3 hours while police investigated.
