A motorcyclists died in a crash on Highway 212 near Happy Valley on Sunday.
Oregon State Police say a car driven by 20-year-old Uriy Dudko stalled in the passing lane of Highway 212 near SE 130th Avenue.
Police say 25-year-old Mitchell Vandoren was speeding on a motorcyle when he rear-ended Dudko.
Dudko got out of the car to check the damage, then continued to drive down SE 130th Avenue. Police say after driving a short distance, Dudko again got out of his car to look at the crash scene.
Dudko once again left the scene and was stopped by a Happy Valley Police Sergeant. He was arrested and booked into the Clackamas County Jail to on Failure to Perform the Duties of a Driver to injured persons.
Vandoren died at the scene.
Investigators are looking at speed on Vandoren's part as a contributing factor in the crash.
Highway 212 was closed about 3 ½ hours for the investigation.
