Officers Arrest Man With A Golden Gun

On Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at 12:55 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of gunfire near Southeast 78th Avenue and Southeast Flavel Street.

As officers responded to the area, a caller informed a 9-1-1 call taker they heard gunfire, looked out of their home, and observed a suspect holding a gun on a nearby street corner. Officers obtained a description of two suspects associated with the gunfire. During a neighborhood search, officers located two men matching the suspects’ descriptions near the intersection of Southeast 82nd Avenue and Southeast Henderson Street. The suspects were taken into custody and a firearm was recovered.

During a canvass of the neighborhood, officers did not locate anyone with injuries or property that was damaged. As officers inspected the firearm, they learned it was a reported stolen firearm.

The suspects were identified as 23-year-old Olavi Elijas Nauha and 24-year-old Ronnie B Davis, Jr. Nauha and Davis were lodged at the Multnomah County Jail. Nauha was lodged on charges of Theft in the First Degree, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of a Loaded Firearm. Davis was lodged on charges of Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Theft in the First Degree.
