Wind Storm Forecast For Oregon

A significant wind storm is forecast to hit Oregon late Friday night and early Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service is forecasting winds on the beaches and headlands up to 75 miles an hour.

Coastal communities could have winds to 65 miles an hour. Those winds are expected to arrive early Saturday morning.

Winds in the Coast Range could reach 65 miles an hour on the exposed ridges.

The winds in the Valley are expected to begin around 6 a.m. Saturday. Gusts could reach 40 to 50 miles an hour.

Winds of that strength could cause tree damage and power outages.
