Thousands of people turned out Saturday morning for the March For Our Lives demonstration in Portland.

They started in the North Park blocks, marched east on Burnside and south on Broadway. They filled the entire length of the route to Pioneer Courthouse Square.

Students in the march say they want bans on assault weapons and large capacity gun magazines.

After arriving at Pioneer Courthouse Square, several speeches were made and the Grammy Award winning and Portugal. The Man performed.

18 March For Our Lives demonstrations were held in Oregon.
