Portland Fire Bureau investigators say the fire that destroyed the Macadam Center building in the 5100 block of SW Macadam Avenue on January 28th was caused by an electrical failure.
Investigators aren’t revealing the exact cause, because of expected litigation.
Employees were inside of a call center when the fire started. They said smoke was seen coming from an electrical area near an elevator.
No one was hurt in the fire.
