A semi and a car were involved in separate crashes in Rhododendron Friday afternoon.
A semi jacknifed and slid across the highway.
In a separate crash, a car slid on the ice and hit a tree.
There were no injuries.
The crashes closed both directions of the highway until they were cleared.
The Hoodland Fire Department says heavy snow this weekend will make driving difficult over Mount Hood.
