Woman’s Body Found In Car

An Aloha man is in custody after the body of a 28-year-old woman was found inside a vehicle.

On January 25, 2018, the inter-agency Washington County Major Crimes Team received information regarding a possible homicide where the victim's body had been left inside a vehicle. Detectives searched a neighborhood in Aloha and found the involved vehicle on a residential street near the intersection of Southwest Sarala Street and Southwest Hargis Road.

Detectives obtained a warrant to search the vehicle and late yesterday evening recovered the body of an adult female from inside. She has been identified as 28-year-old Sara Zghoul of Aloha.

During their investigation, detectives identified the suspect and distributed that information to local law enforcement agencies. Shortly after 11:00 p.m. Thursday night, Beaverton Police officers located the suspect near Southwest Murray Boulevard and Southwest Teal Boulevard and took him into custody. His identity will be released at a later date.

The Washington County District Attorney's Office, Washington County Medical Examiner, and forensics technicians from the Sheriff's Office Forensic Science Unit are assisting detectives in the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Washington County Sheriff's Office detectives by calling (503) 846-2700.
