An armed robber was shot and killed by an employee of a U-Haul store in Southeast Portland.
Around 7 p.m. Wednesday, Portland Police were called to the U-Haul near 48th and Southeast Powell Boulevard on a shooting.
They found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers provided medical help until an ambulance arrived, but the man died on the way to the hospital.
Detectives learned the suspect entered the U-Haul armed with a gun and demanded cash.
Police say the suspect was shot by a store employee.
The guns from the employee and the suspect were both seized as evidence.
The name of the man who was killed hasn't been released.
No charges have been filed. The investigation continues and the case will be reviewed by the District Attorney's office.
