Heavy Rain, Melting Snow Bring Flood Watch

There's still a lot of snow in the lower hills of the Coast Range, the Willapa Hills in Southwest Washington and the Northern Oregon Cascades. The heavy rain forecast Thursday night through Friday will melt much of that snow and cause rivers to approach flood state.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for much of Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington through Friday night.

Rainfall totals in the valleys could reach 1 to 3 inches while rainfall in the Coast Range, Willapa Hills and the Cascades could reach 3 to 8 inches.
