Just before 2 o'clock Saturday morning a man pounded on the door of the Mt. Scott Pub. He was suffering a stab wound.
64-year-old Brian Nees was taken to a hospital where it died several hours later.
Portland Police believe Nees was stabbed in his apartment which is near the pub. He ran to the pub to get help.
Police are trying to find 30-year-old Tyler Nees, the son of Brian Nees, as the suspect in the stabbing.
Police say that anyone seeing Tyler Nees should not approach him and call 911.
