At 1:14 a.m. Wednesday, a pedestrian on I-5 southbound was hit by a vehicle near the Skidmore overpass.
Witnesses say the driver didn’t stop after hitting the woman.
The woman had died by the time medical personnel arrived.
The freeway was closed until around 4:30 a.m. for the investigation.
Police have not released any information about the vehicle that hit the woman.
