After reestablishing spectacular views and clearing invasive plant species, the first phase of Portland Parks & Recreation’s project at Rocky Butte has just wrapped up.
PP&R staff created more opportunities to view scenery, such as Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, and Rip City's downtown from the top of the extinct volcano, plus removed innumerable invasive plants.
This makes room for the next phase of the project: planting 400 new trees and 5,200 shrubs this fall and winter!
