Vancouver firefighters responded to a house fire Sunday night near Southeast 122nd Street and 7th Avenue.
Firefighters arrived within five minutes and found smoke coming from the back of the home.
They were told that there could be someone in the house.
Firefighters quickly attacked the fire and sent search crews into the still burning house. A victim was found inside and pulled outside where CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support began. AMR ambulance team assisted Vancouver Fire in resuscitation efforts while Fire crews continued to extinguish the fire and search for more victims. Resuscitation was stopped on scene after consult with ER physicians at Peace Health Medical Center Emergency Department.
The fire was extinguished in under 20 minutes.
Red Cross was on scene to assist two people who were displaced.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
