At 9:15 a.m. Thursday, Roosevelt High School Principal Filip Hristic initiated a lockdown at the school after learning of a threat deemed credible by Portland Police.

Two students reported to administrators this morning that another student voiced the intention to do harm at the school.

Police Youth Services officers and all School Resource officers are on scene. They conducted an investigation, and the lockdown has been lifted.

The officers have determined that there is not a threat at the school.

Principal Hristic praised the students for doing the right thing in reporting the information.

The safety of all the Roosevelt students is always our top priority.
