Mobile Home Park Shooting Leaves One Dead

A shooting at the Fox Run Mobile Home Park in Northeast Portland Friday evening killed one man and injured another.

Police were called to the park at 9000 NE Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard at 8:09 pm.

When officers arrived at the Fox Run Mobile Home Park several people approached officers and informed the officers there were two people inside a travel-trailer that had sustained gunshot wounds. 

Officers responded to and entered the travel trailer. Inside the trailer, officers located two adult males with gunshot injuries. One of the men was alive and the other man was non-responsive. The officers rendered medical aid to the responsive man and evacuated him out of the trailer to an awaiting ambulance. Emergency medical personnel entered the trailer and determined the unresponsive male with a gunshot wound had died. 

The man that was transported to an area hospital by ambulance is currently being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. 

Homicide Detail detectives, Forensic Evidence criminalists, North Precinct officers, and the Oregon State Medical examiner investigated.

Based on information learned so far in the investigation, there is not believed to be a danger to the community related to this investigation.
