Just after midnight Monday a Kelso Police Officer attempted to contact and apprehend 22-year-old Shane Goldsby in Kelso.
Goldsby was wanted for an earlier stabbing assault that is still under investigation.
Goldsby fled into a brushy area near the road and then circled back to the running patrol vehicle. Goldsby fled in the vehicle before the officer could apprehend him. Goldsby then led multiple agencies on a pursuit and at one point rammed a Washington State Patrol vehicle, causing unknown injury to the Trooper.
The vehicle was located around 3:30 am, but Goldsby had fled on foot.
Goldsby was not able to get any firearms out of the vehicle and is still at large.
Goldsby is wanted for 2 counts of felony assault, theft 1st degree and multiple hit and runs. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Shane Goldsby are encouraged to contact the Kelso Police Department at 360-423-1270.
