Tuesday afternoon, a man walked into the front lobby of Central Precinct to report a deceased person.
Central Precinct officers and detectives with the Portland Police Bureau Detective Division's Homicide Detail contacted 34-year-old Paris McConville. He directed investigators to an apartment in the 700 block of Southwest Saint Clair Avenue.
Officers arrived and located a deceased man inside an apartment. Detectives initiated a suspicious death investigation.
The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Ryan Thompson.
During the preliminary investigation, detectives determined this was a homicide investigation. 34-year-old Paris McConville was taken into custody and booked into the Multnomah County Jail on one count of Murder. McConville will be arraigned this afternoon.
