On Friday August 18, 2017, at 7:08 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the area under the Burnside Bridge near Naito Parkway on the report of a stabbing.
Officers arrived in the area and located a man with a stab wound. Officers provided the victim with medical aid until emergency medical personnel arrived on scene. The man was transported to an area hospital by ambulance with a life-threatening injury.
Preliminary information gathered during this investigation suggests there was a fight between several people at the time the victim was stabbed.
The suspect fled the area after the stabbing. Officers were unable to locate the suspect after searching the area. Officers continue to gather information about the stabbing and the suspect's description.
