Due to the possible safety risks associated with the anticipated influx of people and traffic into the Portland region to view the solar eclipse, Portland Community College has decided to close on Monday, Aug. 21. All classes, activities and services will be canceled for the day and evening.
College leaders ask that people do not attempt to come into any campus or center that day. Gates will be closed and buildings locked. Students who had classes canceled should contact their instructor or program for guidance.
